Vrijdag: Expo opens at Haus Sexten Congress Centre, bib collection afternoon, sponsor village, technical briefing about revised and improved route, presentation of elite runners. Course information with map showing Fischleintal Valley.

Saturday Morning: Bib collection early morning at Haus Sexten. Warm-up at 1320 m. Start at 10:00 AM from Haus Sexten for 17.5 km historic and 17.9 km revised. Start waves for 1000 participants maximum.

Saturday Midday: Runners pass through Moso, Val Fiscalina, Piano Fiscalina and Fondovalle mountain huts, then final climb to Rifugio Locatelli. Spectators can hike to vantage points.

Saturday Afternoon: Finish at Rifugio Locatelli 2405 m, with fantastic view of three majestic pillars. Finisher medals, mountain soup, awards ceremony at hut and later in Sesto village. Return via shuttle or hike down.

Zondag: Recovery breakfast, guided hikes in Sesto Dolomites, family walks.

Alternative Route: In 2008 Drei Zinnen Lauf transferred to alternative lower level route wise decision considering hazardous weather conditions and unseasonable snow on course, showing organizer safety focus.
