What to expect

EXPO Ferroviaria 2027 is the 13th International Exhibition of Railway Technology, Products and Systems, and Italy’s leading rail exhibition. The event is renowned as a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge, technology and trends of the market, bringing together railway companies, service providers from around the world. For over 20 years, EXPO Ferroviaria has accompanied the evolution of the railway industry, providing a platform for stakeholders to meet, discover products and technologies, learn about latest and future market trends, and create business opportunities.

Every two years, rail operators, manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, industry leaders and Italian government representatives gather in Milan to foster partnerships, discover new products and debate about key topics of the industry. Organized by RX, world leader for rail show management, the exhibition is the showcase for manufacturers in the major fields of rolling stock technology, track and infrastructure, signalling and communications, and also serves as shop window for suppliers of many other specialised products essential to efficient and safe operation of railway and public transport systems.

The 2027 edition will bring together more than 290 exhibitors from over 15 participating countries, showcasing the full ecosystem of rail. It is Italy’s showcase for railway technology, products and systems, offering an unmatched environment to accelerate evolution of rail industry, modernising infrastructure with smart, sustainable technologies.

EXPO Ferroviaria 2027 will take place from 28 to 30 September 2027, Tuesday to Thursday, at Fiera Milano Rho, Milan, Italy. The exhibition runs for three days, with full programme of conferences, forum spaces, product demonstrations and networking events. This is a biennial event, with next edition after 2025 edition that confirmed its role as leading railway industry event in Italy for over 20 years.

Opening hours are typically 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM on first two days and 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on last day. Visitor registration opens months in advance.

At RX, sustainability is priority, with commitment to Net Zero by 2040 and 50 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 as founding members of Net Zero Carbon Events initiative.

By Air: Milan Malpensa Airport about 40 km, Milan Linate about 25 km, Bergamo Orio al Serio about 60 km. From Malpensa, Malpensa Express train to Rho Fiera station. From Linate, bus to Milano Centrale then metro to Rho Fiera.

By Train: Rho Fiera Milano station on Milan-Turin high-speed line, directly connected to fairground via covered walkway. From Milano Centrale, take suburban line S5, S6 or S11 or regional train to Rho Fiera in 20 minutes. High-speed trains from Rome, Florence, Turin stop at Rho Fiera during exhibition days.

By Metro: Metro Line 1 red line to Rho Fiera terminus, directly connected to fairground.

By Car: Fiera Milano Rho located near A4 Milan-Turin and A8/A9 motorways, exit Fiera Milano. Parking available at fairground.

By Bus: Shuttle buses from airports and city centre during event days.
