Wat maakt dit culinaire evenement zo bijzonder?

What makes Back to the Wine special is its clear focus on artisan winemakers producing quality limited-edition wines with particular focus on eco-sustainability, natural, organic and biodynamic production.

Artisan Philosophy: Artisan winemakers represent precious heritage of Italian viticulture, authentic custodians of local traditions and identities. Of Italy’s 29,000 wineries, three out of four are small-scale producers. Putting these businesses at center of event means enhancing biodiversity, promoting local excellence and preserving production model that prioritizes sustainability and quality. Minimal intervention in vineyard and cellar, family-run, quality over quantity.

Direct Meeting with Maker: Knowing a wine means meeting its maker, understanding their work and discerning terroir in glass through direct comparison at tasting tables. Behind every label are people with whom to discuss territories, harvests and production choices. Value of meeting lies in opportunity to delve deeper into what bottle alone cannot convey, the changing seasons, revival of tradition, rationale behind working method. Visitors can thus taste and purchase directly from producers.

Dual Audience Approach: Two days dialogue with different yet complementary publics. One day is aimed primarily at enthusiasts, other day offers business opportunity for restaurateurs, enotecari, wine bar managers and distributors looking for new labels. This allows both passionate consumers and trade professionals to have dedicated experience.

Market and Food Integration: Alongside wine there is also space for food, artisan food vendors and food stations allow visitors to stop at fair for food-focused break, combining discovery and conviviality with focus on care taken in production and relationship with those who make them.
