Torinodanza Festival 2027 – Turin, Italy is one of Italy’s most important international contemporary dance festivals, organized by Teatro Stabile di Torino with passion and dedication, and supported by the City of Turin which understands the value that an international event brings back to the community. Its beating heart is the autumn programme, which in recent editions takes shape as a true geography of movement, where companies from Europe, America and Asia outline a map of aesthetics that engage in dialogue between tradition, experimentation, reflections on present and perspectives on world.
Expect 16 performances including world premieres, national premieres and co-productions, alongside workshops and masterclasses, hosting 17 companies with artists from 10 different countries. In addition to main programme, there are events as part of Torinodanza EXTRA which enrich season of Teatro Stabile di Torino with dance and performance theatre shows. The festival explores world of artistic creation, juxtaposing great names of contemporary choreography with expressions of research and trends emerging on scene today.
The festival presents a panorama of generations and geographies of creation, mixing energy of youthful language with talent of great choreographers. From Japanese Butoh and hip hop groups to European contemporary dance masters, Torinodanza offers visionary programming that has made it successful since early editions starting in September and running through December in earlier years. Expect works for young audience, works with young performers and focus programmes such as Sguardi distanti and Focus Domani that investigate varied manifestations of contemporary dance.
