Piazza Lucio Dalla is a covered public space in the Bolognina district, behind Bologna Centrale and on the site of the former fruit and vegetable market. The approximately 6,000-square-metre space has become an important location for music, culture, inclusion, markets, entertainment and food events.

The covered structure is known as the Nervi canopy and provides protection from weather conditions while maintaining an open public-square atmosphere. DiMondi uses the location as its central festival environment.

July: Veeblé, Son de Amigos, Kumbia Ambassadors, Radio Reggae, Septeto Guarachando, Lidiya Koycheva & Balkan Orkestra, Fabijan Balkan Brass Band, Bologna Bridge Band, Batila & The Dreambus, Summer Pop Night, Pedro Makay and Roberto Colella.

August: Elhzo, JC & The Tree, La Ganga Calè and Jaipur Maharaja Brass Band.

September: Adil & Le Grand Bal Raï, Samira Brahmia, the Mercato delle Pulci, Finger Food Festival, Bolognina Ska Fest and El V & The Gardenhouse.

The programme also includes themed cultural events such as Pizzica!, Bologna Balkan and Il Brasile a Bologna, making the festival broader than a conventional concert series.
